Modern food sources includes the farmed and processed foods that are supplied to society. Farmed foods include natural foods such as fruits, vegetables, meats, etc and processed foods include foods such as frozen, canned, dehydrated food, etc.

Organic farming refers to the practises which are designed to encourage soil and water conservation and reduce pollution whilst growing agricultural products such as fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy products and meat. The food organic farmers produce, don't use conventional methods including fertilising and weed control. Instead organic farms use natural fertilisers to feed the soil and plants and crop rotation or mulch to manage weeds.
